How it changed
Guardian of Egypt's southern border and of the spot where the inundation was believed to begin, at the cataract. Her arrows are aimed at the country's enemies to the south, and in the Pyramid Texts her water purifies the dead king. She was paired with Khnum as the flood was pinned to a place.
