How it changed

The most physical creator in Egypt. Where Ptah speaks the world into being and Atum produces it from himself, Khnum sits at a wheel and throws each child and its ka out of Nile clay, a scene carved in the birth houses of several temples. He also controls the cataract at Aswan, which made him responsible for the inundation, and the Famine Stela invents an ancient royal decree granting him land in exchange for ending a seven-year drought.
